More in the mood for an ice-cold beer? Long Island also boasts around 60 local breweries and 50 taprooms. The new Long Beach Brewing Company taproom in Oceanside has made a huge splash with its innovative German and Belgian style brews. Another of our favorites, Barrier Brewing recently won acclaim as the Best Brew of New York State. Finally, Oyster Bay Brewing Company is not only one of Long Island’s most successful craft beer makers; it’s also just down the street from Theodore Roosevelt’s summer residence, making it the perfect stop for a refreshing pint as you take in the history of our incredible island.
