Though I have only been in this country for 4 years, I persevered to overcome challenges and accomplished many goals including graduating from Nassau Community College with a degree in Liberal Arts, and continue my pursuit of an International Management degree. I attribute my extensive growth to The Garden City Hotel, which has helped me in numerous ways; allowing me to have a flexible schedule to attend school and tennis tournaments and always supporting me, both in work and my personal ambitions. I have been with the hotel for 3 years, first starting as a Busser and then was promoted to Runner and again to Server in both David Burke’s Fine Dining Restaurant as well as being selected to assist with In Room Dining. This iconic hotel has provided me with a wealth of knowledge through training in both food and wine. Working in such a diverse environment is a benefit that allows staff to express their opinions and thoughts. I value this company because they value me. In October 2019, I was grateful to have been awarded the Employee of the Month distinction. I wouldn’t be where I am without The Garden City Hotel.

After graduating with my Bachelor’s Degree in in Hospitality Management from SUNY Delhi, I was hired as a Guest Service Agent at The Garden City Hotel in 2017. I decided to start my career at the Front Desk so I can have a better understanding of hotel operations all while enhancing my guest service skills through training and experience. During my time at the Front Desk, I was promoted to Guest Service Supervisor and by 2019 I transferred to the Sales Department as a Sales Coordinator. I am proud of my progression and grateful for the support that our team has given me through this journey.
