Menus of creative cocktails and Belgian Master Chef Steven De Bruyn’s “share, light fare and classics” are served from 4:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily in season.
The patio is steps from the luxury property’s grand entrance. Set in lush garden surroundings, it affords privacy in an open-air milieu for an intimate yet lively social scene. Amidst the lavish backdrop and rich heritage of The Garden City Hotel, the patio presents a new way to savor the classic offerings and chic ambience of the popular Rein.

Seasonal Drinks on The Patio
Alongside De Bruyn’s dishes is a full menu of distinctive Rein cocktails and martinis at $12.50 each. A seasonal Blue-jito is made of Blueberry Vodka, Bacardi Rum and Triple Sec; finished with grape juice and Sprite; and muddled with blueberries, mint and sugar. Designed for summer and sharing is a pitcher of Grand Sangria ($45) made of Patron Silver Tequila, Grand Marnier, apricot and peach schnapps, Pinot Grigio; and finished with pineapple and orange juice.
A Sense of Occasion Year-Round
Beyond summer evenings on the patio, inside Rein, diners will find breakfast, lunch, dinner and bar menus daily with Saturday afternoon tea service and an award-winning Sunday brunch. De Bruyn keeps menus simple and fun with appetizers and late night menus that give the chance to taste and share many dishes. He also designs a full and filling spectrum of imaginatively composed main courses befitting the warm and inviting atmosphere. De Bruyn’s creative execution extends to themed menus. Favorites include a “stars and stripes” menu inspired by the 2008 Presidential candidates’ favorite dishes; a Triple Crown menu representing the three geographic legs of the annual horse racing season; and a pairing of Old World and New World cheeses and wines for the anniversary of the first trans-Atlantic flight by Charles Lindbergh, who slept at the luxury hotel on the eve of his historical journey. A year-round specialty is the Bridal Tea. De Bruyn designs a Traditional Tea with sandwiches and scones; a Chocolate Tea with warm brown brioche, bonbons and truffles; and a Royal Tea with champagne, strawberries and chantilly. To make every weekend special, guests are treated to live jazz on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
