Triple Crown enthusiasts to “Race Into Spring”, a celebration of this year’s festivities
with signature cocktails, award-winning dining, and plasma TV viewing of the races at the
stylish Rein Bar & Bistro. A visual display showcasing the history of horse racing can also
be seen in the hotel’s lobby from June 6 through June 11.
Giving the hotel more reasons to celebrate, 2005 marks the 100th anniversary of Belmont Park,
home to the running of the Belmont Stakes. The exciting annual event will take place this year
on Saturday, June 11.

· • Belmont Park 100th Anniversary -- In honor of the Belmont Park’s 100th Anniversary, The
Garden City Hotel will host a celebratory luncheon on Monday, June 6. All of the proceeds of
this event will benefit the Belmont Child Care Association. Belmont Park will also hold a press
conference on that day in the hotel’s English Garden, detailing the significance of this
exciting event to the media.
· • The Belmont Stakes Festival Charity Golf outing takes place on Tuesday, June 7, at the
Meadow Brook Country Club.
· • The Seventh Annual Garden City Parade & Street Fair is open to the public and will begin
at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10. The third annual “Hats off To Garden City” hat contest, one
of the signature events of the annual Belmont Festival that features some of the most creative,
stylish and whimsical millinery fashions of the world, also takes place on this day.
