THE GARDEN CITY HOTEL APPOINTS
KARIME BURAYE DIRECTOR OF SALES
GARDEN CITY, Long Island, NY (Apr. 15, 2005) – The Garden City Hotel, a world-class
luxury hotel located in Long Island, NY, has named Karime Buraye as Director
of Sales. Buraye will be responsible for global room sales with a focus on account management
and new business development.
Buraye’s previously held positions include her role as Director of Sales for Small Luxury Hotels
of the World and Corporate Sales Manager of IndeCorp (Preferred Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Summit
Hotels and Sterling Hotels).
“Karime’s years of experience in hospitality, along with her in-depth understanding of the independent,
luxury hotel market, make her an ideal candidate for the position of Director of Sales for The Garden
City Hotel,” said Cathy Nelkin Miller, President of the 280-room luxury hotel. “We are pleased to have

Prior to her experience with Small Luxury Hotels of the World and IndeCorp, where she was responsible
for increasing awareness of the hotel brands, strengthening business relationships with the corporate
market, and centralize the processes for the corporate, consortia and leisure markets, Buraye served as
the manager of a travel agency branch for more than six years.
Buraye has earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel Management from New York University.
