Zagat 2003/04 Dining Guide
Just off the lobby in the legendary Garden City Hotel, this jazzy, wood-lined lounge offers a cuisine they
call rarified bar; out of the same kitchen that serves the highly rated Polo Restaurant emerges a knuckle
sandwich (lobster roll) and other upscale Eclectic dishes, and on Thursday and Friday nights a sushi chef sets up.
Its recent remodel has rendered the setting of this super-deluxe treat in The Garden City Hotel even more beautiful,
elegant and romantic; the creative, incredible New American cuisine, great wine list and attentive, professional staff
contribute to the not-to-be-missed experience, and even though its oh-so-pricey, its worth it for a celebration; P.S.
The popular Sunday brunch is one of a kind.
NY Times
The Rein Bar & Bistro features "entrees and dishes that are alternately earthy and elegant, on what is perhaps Long
Island's most refined, rarefied bar menu," according to a recent review by New York Times.
The Garden City Hotel's Polo Restaurant Receives 'Excellent' Rating in New York Times. Restaurant Review food
critic Joanne Starkey described the atmosphere of the restaurant as "opulent and sophisticated" and the service
as "attentive, amiable and very well informed."
