Food & Beverage

Food and Beverage Manager

The ideal candidate will have fine dining, upscale restaurant experience. You will have experience in restaurant operations, personnel management, and employee training and development. You must be a dedicated hands-on trainer, who strives for and demands excellence, able to guide and teach staff to be fully knowledgeable of menus, sales and service.

Pastry Chef

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks engaged in the preparation of desserts, pastries, confections, and ice cream.  Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  Fine dining and banquet production of creatively decorated upscale desserts, cakes, breads and pastries; Planning production for Pastry Department according to menu or special requirements; Supplying recipes for, and suggesting methods and procedures to Pastry Cooks; Creating table and pastry decorations (such as statuaries and sugar paste and icing ornaments); Requisitioning supplies and equipment. Responsible for management of pastry staff, inventory and overall operation of pastry kitchen. Excellent managerial and interpersonal skills required.

Executive Sous Chef

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, working closely with the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of the Kitchen and Kitchen personnel, ensuring the quality preparation of all menu items and proper handling/storage of all food items in accordance with standards.  Coordinate the purchase of all food and develop menus, maintaining approved food costs and labor costs. You must be an experienced culinary manager familiar with fine dining restaurants in order to be considered for this position. Candidates must have luxury hotel experience.

Banquet Server - Part Time

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: set up assigned tables, retrieve and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to guest tables according to Hotel specifications and group requirements, courteously and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and condition of work areas and equipment. Applicants should have good people skills and a pleasant personality. Must have prior Server experience in catering and or fine dining establishment. Our servers earn base pay plus lucrative gratuities.

Convention Services Houseman

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, set up designated function rooms to group's requirements in accordance with Hotel standards. Maintain cleanliness and working condition of all respective equipment, guest and service areas. This position requires moving and lifting of heavy equipment, some in excess of 100 lbs. Flexibility with scheduling is required. This is a guest contact position; you must have excellent interpersonal skills. Prior experience preferred.

Polo Restaurant Server

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, take food and beverage orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to guest tables. Ensure proper payments are received for all orders. Assist in the maintenance of the Restaurant area and equipment. Prior experience as a Server is required, preferably in a fine dining restaurant. Excellent interpersonal skills are flexibility with scheduling is required. Must be able to work early AM and PM shifts.

Patio Cocktail Server

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, take orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and small plates to guests, courteously and efficiently according to Hotel specifications. Assist in the maintenance of the outlet area and equipment. You must have fine dining restaurant experience and full knowledge of liquors and wines. This position is working in an outdoor venue; you will be subject to weather conditions.

Patio Barback

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assist Bartender and Cocktail Servers in providing quality service to guests according to Hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Stock Bars with designated supplies, ensuring no shortages for guest service.  Maintain cleanliness of bar, work areas and equipment according to Hotel specifications. This position is working in an outdoor venue; you will be subject to weather conditions.

Polo Restaurant Hostess/Host

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, courteously greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating, ensuring Hotel standards of service. Assist in preparing the Restaurant for service and maintaining the cleanliness of the room at all times. Take reservations and maintain reservation book, assist in monitoring the guests’ needs. Experience with 'Open Table' preferred but not required.  Computer skills are required.  Experience in a fine dining restaurant preferred.

Line Cook

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, planning, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials in designated outlets in accordance with standards and plating guide specifications. Must be able to read and follow menus and recipes. Visually inspect, select, and utilize only food items of the highest quality in the preparation of menu items. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Executive and Sous Chefs. Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.

Steward (Potwasher/Dishwasher)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, wash and sanitize pots, pans and other Kitchen utensils/equipment according to Hotel specifications and standards. Clean and maintain equipment in Pot washing/Dish washing/Kitchen/Cafeteria/Compactor/Storage areas. Assist in washing wares by operating the dishwashing machine. Complete other special cleaning projects as assigned. Prior dishwashing experience in restaurant/hotel or cleaning in a commercial environment will be a plus.

Rooms Division

Guest Services Manager

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, addressing all daily guest concerns in the hotel; overseeing the operation and service standards of the Front Desk, Front Service and Valet Parking staff; assisting with checking in/out all guests; handle all VIP check in/out; ensure staff follow hotel credit procedures; train and manage all staff. The ideal candidate must have HOTEL Front Desk management experience, working knowledge of OPERA a plus. This position requires flexibility with scheduling on all shifts including overnights, weekends and holidays.  

Housekeeping Floor Manager

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: prepare and distribute assignment sheets to assigned staff and review priorities.  Supervise, train and inspect the performance of all Housekeeping/Laundry/Valet staff ensuring that all procedures are completed according to standard.  Assist where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests.  Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.  Maintain complete knowledge at all times of status of hotel room count, group arrival, VIP’s, special events and knowledge of job responsibility of staff.  Complete other Housekeeping assignments as directed by the Executive Housekeeper. Must have prior hotel Housekeeping management experience.  Must possess excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills.

Housekeeping Room Attendant (Full Time AM, and Part-Time PM shifts available)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to clean guest rooms as assigned, ensuring the hotel's established standards of cleanliness. Responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and handling guest requests or complaints. Ensures the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms. Complete other cleaning projects as assigned.

Housekeeping Houseman (Overnight Shifts also available)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, clean and maintain all corridors, vending areas, elevators and landings, and service areas on guest room floors, ensuring hotel's standards of cleanliness. Provide linen & glass supplies for Room Attendants and stock floor closets. Deliver and retrieve items requested by guests and Floor Supervisor. Complete other cleaning projects as assigned by Executive Housekeeper. Flexibility with scheduling is required.

Guest Service Agent

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, check-in/check-out hotel guests courteously and efficiently; process all payments according to established hotel requirements; provide information and assistance to all guests and visitors; provide prompt, courteous and efficient handling of all requests for guest room reservations, changes, cancellations and information; provide prompt, courteous and efficient handling of all incoming calls and assistance for outgoing calls that transpire through PBX. Also play an integral part in assisting with emergencies, (fire, medical, power/system failure) by contacting the designated personnel for immediate assistance. This is a full time position that requires flexibility with scheduling. Hotel experience preferred.

Front Desk Supervisor

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervision of all aspects of the Front Desk functions, in accordance with hotel standards.  Directs, implements and maintains a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff. Oversees the check-in/check-out process and ensures that staff follow all proper guest payment and cash handling procedures. This is a full time position that requires flexibility with scheduling; 2 Overnight shifts are included in this schedule. Hotel experience preferred.

Bellman/Doorman – AM/PM and Overnight Shifts Available

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, acknowledge, welcome and depart all guests/visitors arriving to/from the hotel, providing assistance with guests' luggage, escort guests to rooms and inform guests of all hotel services and features; drive, park and retrieve guest/visitor vehicles as they arrive and depart from the hotel. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and must have experience driving manual and automatic transmissions. Working conditions include, but are not limited to, being exposed to all weather conditions and standing for extended periods of time. Responsible for attending to immediate needs of each guest upon arrival and follow through attention throughout stay. You must have prior customer service experience and excellent communication skills. Flexibility with scheduling is required.  Schedule includes weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays. This is an Overnight shift position.

Valet Parking Attendant – Part Time

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, drive, park and retrieve guest/visitor vehicles as they arrive and depart from the hotel, courteously, safely and efficiently according to the hotel's standards. Working conditions include, but are not limited to, being exposed to all weather conditions and standing for extended periods of time.  Applicants must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and must have experience driving manual and automatic transmissions. You must have prior customer service experience and excellent communication skills. Flexibility with scheduling is required.  Schedule includes weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays.

Laundry Attendant

This position is responsible for processing all soiled hotel bed linens, terry and food and beverage table linens by operating all laundry/dry cleaning machinery according to hotel standards; clean, press and finish staff and guest garments. Also responsible for handling guest laundry requests, transporting guest laundry to laundry room and returning cleaned laundry to guest room.

Reservations Sales Agent

Reservations Sales Agents play a leading role in generating revenue for the hotel. They field inquiries for transient reservations and must convert as many of these calls as possible into confirmed reservations. After quoting rates appropriate to specific requests, they must obtain agreement from the caller and confirm a reservation. They must be able to follow sell strategy as determined by revenue management; listen and communicate effectively with a wide range of callers; close the sale; and input detailed information into the property management system (Opera), accurately and efficiently. The position is also responsible for providing overall reservations support for the hotel. They are responsible for handling group blocks and inputting rooming lists, selling gift certificates, processing travel agent commissions, and proper coding of market segments and corporate accounts. Ideal candidate will have prior experience in the travel agency or hotel industry.
