WiFi Internet Services
The Garden City Hotel has completed a wireless Internet
installation, including all meeting rooms, dining and
entertainment venues, and guestrooms. The hotel uses
Wayport Wi-Fi technology, taking conferences, training sessions
and seminars to new heights of productivity.
Wayport WiFi Internet service allows Garden City Hotel
clients to engage in online conferencing, web castings
(streaming video/audio), interactive or remote training,
hands-on product demonstrations and much more.
Hotel guests can conduct business from anywhere in the hotel. Whether
in an executive suite while preparing for a presentation,
during a meeting break, or for a recap over dinner or cocktails,
guests do not have to miss a beat when traveling. A nominal fee
is required for the service, which includes access costs and support services.
Digital Media Services
When meeting attendees cannot meet face-to-face, they can still
collaborate using the hotel's videoconferencing and teleconferencing
systems. Our multi-media and telecommunications capabilities ensure
that information is effectively presented using the most advanced
techniques. This allows attendees to stay connected to their
organizations and clients.
Audio Visual
A full staff of audiovisual technicians is available for
assistance during meetings and events. State-of-the -art audiovisual
equipment ranges from slide projectors and overhead projectors to
personal computers and video projectors.
eMeetings
eMeetings with Wayport allow guests to be online throughout
the meeting, with high-speed wired and Wi-Fi wireless Internet
access. Our service allows access to the World Wide Web, corporate
email and corporate networks, all at up to 50 times faster than
traditional dial-up and without disconnects or phone charges. A
Wayport eMeeting provides the bandwidth to support increasingly
important meeting technologies such as web casting and online conferencing.
Cyber Cafe
The Garden City Hotel's Cyber Café service allows meeting attendees
to check email on their own notebook computers during breaks. The
Cyber Cafe still lets participants stay easily connected in meetings
that don't require the extensive Internet connectivity of an eMeeting.
