Horsing Around March 2014
Wondering where your inner kid has been hiding out? We're pretty sure you can find him on one of the 41 colorful carved steeds that encircle Nunley's Carousel, a vintage work of art dating back more than a century. First installed in Canarsie's Golden City Park, it was built by Brooklyn-based Stein and Goldstein Artistic Carousel Company during the golden age of wooden carousel craftsmanship. Today, this beloved piece of history delights the young and young at heart with $2 rides set to a special soundtrack recorded by singer (and Long Islander) Billy Joel and his keyboard player, David Rosenthal. Find all the fun on Museum Row, between the Cradle of Aviation Museum and the Long Island Children's Museum.
Address: Museum Row.
