Flight of Fancy February 2014
When you're staying at the hotel where Charles Lindbergh spent the night, you just have to see the Cradle of Aviation Museum. Kitty Hawk may be better known for aviation, but Long Island was once the industry's epicenter. In fact, Lindbergh began his trans-Atlantic flight from right here. (Well, not exactly right here, but just a mile from nearby Roosevelt Mall.) The museum is housed in three original airline hangars linked by an immersive full-dome theatre. You'll find amazing aircraft high and low and leave feeling like you've had a great time and learned something new. Which is the goal of any successful mission in our book. Have a nice flight.
