Medical Coverage:
The 1st of the month following 90 days of continuous employment full-time employees and dependents are eligible for full medical coverage.
Dental Coverage:
After 1 full year of employment full-time employees and dependents are eligible for dental coverage.
401K Plan:
After 1 full year of employment (and 1st day of next quarter) full-time employees are invited to participate in the 401K Retirement Savings Plan.
Vacation Time:
After one year of employment full-time employees receive 2 weeks vacation. Part-time employees receive pro-rated vacation time. Vacation is refreshed each anniversary year.
Sick Time:
After one full year of employment full-time employees receive sick days pro-rated to their hire date. Each January (after 1 year of employment) employees receive 5 sick days.
Personal Time:
After 90 days of employment, full-time employees receive 3 personal days. Personal days are refreshed each anniversary year.
Employee of the Month:
After 90 days, all employees are eligible to be nominated and selected (by the Garden City Hotel team) to be Employee of the Month. Each Employee of the Month receives $150 and a reserved parking space for a month!
Annual Events:
The Garden City Hotel holds several events throughout the year in honor of their employees: Quarterly Receptions, Employee Gala, Employee Picnic, Holiday Party, Holiday Party for Children, Employee Appreciation Week.
Employee Transfers:
After 6 months of employment, employees are eligible to apply for a transfer to another department within the Hotel.
Employee Referrals:
Employees are encouraged to refer friends to the Hotel to apply for a position. If friends are hired, and in good standing after 6 months of continuous employment, the employee (who referred) will receive $100.
Bonus Bucks:
Bonus Bucks is an incentive program for employees to earn gift certificates and discounts to local retailers and stores by performing above and beyond their normal job duties.
