Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea, a truly British event, was started by an English Duchess as an afternoon gathering for her friends but quickly spread throughout London to be the institution we know today. The Garden City Hotel is delighted to carry on this friendly tradition, allowing friends, family and colleagues to take a break and enjoy good conversation over a cup of tea. Served each Saturday, Afternoon Tea offers a charming addition to any stay at our historic Long Island hotel, but can also be arranged as a private party, ideal for bridal or baby showers and bridesmaid luncheons as well as holiday and birthday celebrations.

Featuring Violinist Annette Homann

Originally from Germany, Annette Homann came to New York in 2005 and graduated with a Masters Degree from Manhattan School of Music in 2006. From 2008-2011 Mrs Homann toured the world with the critically acclaimed violin show Barrage. She currently resides in New York City where she is playing with various ensembles in venues such as Avery Fisher Hall, Carnegie Hall or Symphony Space.
